Life at Cinch
Working alongside Talent Works, we filmed a series of recruitment and culture-focused films for Cinch, designed to give prospective employees a genuine insight into life within the business.
Cinch Company Culture Films
Client: Talentworks
Director: Daniel Birmingham
My roles: DOP
Deliverables: 8 x Interviews and B-roll footage of the office
The project brought together perspectives from across the company, combining interviews with senior leadership and team members to create a well-rounded picture of the organisation and its culture.
With limited time available from senior stakeholders, efficiency was key. The morning focused on filming interviews with members of the leadership team, requiring quick setup changes and careful planning to make the most of the available schedule.
As the day progressed, the focus shifted towards employees and the wider company culture. We captured a combination of interviews and observational footage throughout the office, creating content that felt both professional and authentic.
A major part of the challenge was ensuring each interview setup felt visually distinct while maintaining a consistent style across the final films. By adapting the camera movement, framing and lighting approach, we were able to create different visual tones for leadership and employee content while keeping everything connected.
The final content helped showcase both the opportunities available at Cinch and the people who make the business what it is.
About
What I Enjoyed
Finding different ways to use the office environment throughout the day was a particularly enjoyable creative challenge.
The contrast between the more formal leadership interviews and the relaxed employee-focused content gave us an opportunity to vary the visual style and create a final set of films that felt engaging, authentic and representative of the company culture.
