Health Equity Films

Couch Health develops training and educational content for healthcare providers, helping organisations better understand topics such as health equity, bias, and patient experience. They needed a flexible training product that could be delivered both as a standalone Couch Health resource and as a white-label solution for individual organisations.

Health Equity Training Films

Client: Couch Health

Director: Wesley Roskell

My Roles: DOP, 1st AD, Producer

Deliverables: Greenscreen Footage of Training Films

The project centred around creating a series of modular training films that could be adapted for different healthcare providers while maintaining a consistent production quality throughout.

Given the sensitive nature of the topics being discussed, it was important that the content felt professional, approachable and representative of a wide range of perspectives. We assembled a diverse group of presenters across different backgrounds, experiences and demographics to help ensure the content reflected the audiences it was designed to serve.

Filming took place over four days on a green screen stage, allowing the training materials to be customised and branded for different organisations during post-production.

My background in visual effects proved particularly valuable throughout production, helping ensure the green screen setup was lit correctly from the outset and reducing the amount of post-production work required later.

The result was a flexible training product that could be tailored to multiple clients while maintaining a consistent learning experience.

About

What I Enjoyed

Working with such a talented group of presenters brought a huge amount of energy to the project.

I also enjoyed the technical challenge of building a green screen production designed specifically for efficient post-production. It's always satisfying when careful planning during filming saves significant time further down the production process.
